Getting Closer is a project of territorial recomposition and reconnection that involves the northern peri-urban area of Modena. In the first part, the research identifies through interpretative readings resources and criticalities of the area, and from these it deduces and proposes a new structural scheme for the reorganisation of the territory. It proposes an abacus of general actions for the recomposition of the different parts identified: sponges, industrial areas, urban countryside and crossroads. Two more complex linear systems are then identified at the margins between the different parts: along Via Nonantolana and along the Naviglio Canal. Via Nonantolana is thus deepened: here the vertical reading of the area recognises the possibility of connecting the industrial area of Torrazzi with the woods and the landfill, converted into a public park, through the design of a cycle path recognisable in the landscape.

Abstract
Getting Closer is a project of territorial recomposition and reconnection that involves the northern peri-urban area of Modena. In the first part, the research identifies through interpretative readings resources and criticalities of the area, and from these it deduces and proposes a new structural scheme for the reorganisation of the territory. It proposes an abacus of general actions for the recomposition of the different parts identified: sponges, industrial areas, urban countryside and crossroads. Two more complex linear systems are then identified at the margins between the different parts: along Via Nonantolana and along the Naviglio Canal. Via Nonantolana is thus deepened: here the vertical reading of the area recognises the possibility of connecting the industrial area of Torrazzi with the woods and the landfill, converted into a public park, through the design of a cycle path recognisable in the landscape.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
