Dementia is defined as the deterioration of brain function. Mem ory problems and poor concentration are the most characteristic symptoms of dementia. Ameliorating the life quality of patients by applying-non-pharmacological therapies is highly important. In this respect, interiordesignplayingasignificantroleby stimulatingdiffer ent senses (visuals, movement, sound, touch, smell) in people with dementia-through providing an environment properly designed so as to eliminate the psychological discomfort. As cognitive decline and behavioral disorders make it difficult to report to the others, de sign can creates comfortable and safe space for this social group.
