The Italian stand-up comedy scene currently lacks structure and consistency in the organization of events, especially when it comes to emerging comedians and smaller venues. Stand-up comedy in Italy has become increasingly popular over the last few years. Comedians with different levels of experience perform in large and small venues throughout the year and across the country. The shifting of many venues towards hosting this type of show is a significant trend related to this heightened interest in stand-up comedy. In addition to pubs in metropolitan areas, stand-up comedy is now often performed in smaller cities distant from the most popular stand-up scenes. This thesis investigates the process from the planning phase to the performance itself. Using Service Design and a human-centered approach, the study determines where it is possible to intervene to enhance the experience of stand-up comedy for both comedians and venues. The primary source of information consists of desk research and a series of semi-structured interviews with stand-up comedians, venue managers, and agencies. This data served as a basis for the development of a service concept. The outcomes of continual testing and validation led me to create a live stand-up organizing service, streamlining interactions between stand-up comedians and venue-based organizers. This innovation benefits the experience for both stakeholders, enhancing the quality of stand-up comedy events as well as the scene as a whole.

Abstract
This innovation benefits the experience for both stakeholders, enhancing the quality of stand-up comedy events as well as the scene as a whole.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
