This work is mainly divided in two parts: 1. in the first part the OversonicRobotics "Robee" project architecture is analyzed with the objective of studying the current criptographic security level of the MQTT pro- tocol and adapt it to the current cryptography approaches to gain both in security and in efficiency 2. in the second part the post-quantum cipher algorithm "LEDAcrypt" is introduced and the procedure that lead to its integration in the "Robee" project is reported with the aim of demonstrating its usability already today The results are good and encouraging: the first part demonstrates the great advantages of Elliptic Curve Cryptography over classical approaches, while the second part achieve the completely transparent usage of LEDAcrypt as cryptographic layer for MQTT, providing post-quantum security to the system without noticeably impacting its performances.

Abstract
This work is mainly divided in two parts: 1. in the first part the OversonicRobotics "Robee" project architecture is analyzed with the objective of studying the current criptographic security level of the MQTT pro- tocol and adapt it to the current cryptography approaches to gain both in security and in efficiency 2. in the second part the post-quantum cipher algorithm "LEDAcrypt" is introduced and the procedure that lead to its integration in the "Robee" project is reported with the aim of demonstrating its usability already today The results are good and encouraging: the first part demonstrates the great advantages of Elliptic Curve Cryptography over classical approaches, while the second part achieve the completely transparent usage of LEDAcrypt as cryptographic layer for MQTT, providing post-quantum security to the system without noticeably impacting its performances.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
