The Sustainability Empowerment Project represents the realization of how a culture of sustainability can be spread within a company, which, although it has a strong push to wards the sustainability strategy development at corporate levels, own a weakness in the involvement on these issues by people at the lower levels. Before entering in the Guala pack case and in how a bottom-up approach has been implemented for the diffusion of sustainability, a literature review concerning the relevance of sustainability in its general sense is presented, subsequently shifting the attention towards the business world with the description of sustainability strategy. An in-depth study is also carried out on the materiality analysis, the importance of engagement and the correlation with empower ment. These topics will be the leading line of the project, which is divided into three phases: materiality analysis, evaluation of employees’ motivational profiles for the selec tion of the so-called champions, and finally the definition of empowerment activities for the champions themselves. The development of the first two phases took place through the creation of two different questionnaires - one for the evaluation of the material el ements, another to identify the motivational profiles of the individuals - obtaining as result a selected group of champions who will concentrate their activities on those issues which they have assessed to be material. In conclusion, a general planning was defined for the new champion figures onboarding, for the related training on sustainability issues and finally it have been set the processes and methodologies to be followed for future activities.
