The aim of this thesis work is to propose new testing conditions for the assessment of Total Hip Replacement (THR) devices meant to heal small and medium breed dogs affected by Canine Hip Dysplasia (CHD). In particular, Artemidex company has specifically requested the definition of Boundary Conditions (BCs) for both static and fatigue strength evaluation of canine hip prostheses meant for dogs with Body Mass (BM) ≤ 25 kg and manufactured with Electron Beam Melting (EBM) technique.
