Gli adolescenti e i social network. Linguaggi e temi dei nativi digitali all'interno dei social media

The aim of this thesis is the analysis of the languages used by teenagers on the social network’s platforms. The main focus is on the dynamics and the themes that teenagers find interesting, in order to map them and find points of attention useful for the communication designer. The analysis includes girls and boys between the age of 14 and 17, who are approaching social media for the first time. In Italy the minimum age to sign up in a social network is 14 years old, but at the same time they are the first generation of real digital-natives, as they grew up in in a hyper-connected context from an early age. The purpose of this survey, based on analysis of data and case studies, is to offer a broad view of content made by teenagers but also made for them from the moment in which they have the permission and full freedom to use them online.

Obiettivo di questa tesi di consolidamento è l’analisi e lo studio dei linguaggi utilizzati dai giovani adolescenti all’interno delle piattaforme digitali nello specifico dei social network, con un focus particolare sulle dinamiche e le tematiche che più interessano questa generazione, così da mapparne ricorrenze e punti di attenzione utili per il designer della comunicazione. L’analisi comprende ragazze e ragazzi fra i 14 e i 17 anni, che muovono i loro primi passi all’interno dei social media. In Italia l’età minima per iscriversi a un social network è 14 anni, ma al contempo sono la prima generazione di veri nativi digitali, sin da piccoli cresciuti in un contesto iper-connesso. Questa è un’indagine che si basa sull’analisi di dati e di casi studio, il cui scopo è offrire un’ampia visuale dei contenuti erogati per e da questi minori dal momento in cui hanno il permesso e la piena libertà di fruirli online.
