Technological innovation affects fashion that makes people move toward a culture of difference, such as the form of clothing, the way of wearing it, and from clothing to communication. This phenomenon not only requires designers to acquire new skills, but design and function must satisfy the needs and improvements in various aspects of an individual life, both in terms of mental well-being and physical. Here we can realize that the work of designers in line with the development of technology and our heightened desire inevitably requires a change of approach—design capability and the elaboration of the design process, the concept of a progressive process, and the role of the designer in the semiotic process. This study begins with interaction design as the base of the user experience of how people living in a digital society use smart fashion as a tool to control or communicate, express identity or differentiate ourselves, and interact with our surroundings. In order to elaborate on the design process approach, it provides answers to the following: What kind of code intervenes in the material and visual perceptual cognition procedure of smart fashion to create the experiences through the signification process? What kind of interaction occurs in modern society? What is its function and expression? Finally, it emphasizes the designer’s appearance as a subject of transformation and attitude towards the designer’s role and his or her work as an advanced design process. This work ultimately aims to facilitate the development and progression of the approach to the process of smart fashion design in values of design culture through the results that can be drawn from the relationship between “the design work process and project-making attitude (projectuality)” based on solving a user’s necessary problems and interpretation of sociocultural phenomena.
