Marginal territories resources valorization : the case of Bellinzago Lombardo. Container reuse design for an agrarian school

The thesis developed from the "Mitigation Risk Design" curricular workshop experience, in which the opportunity emerged to launch a multidisciplinary project aimed at identifying local situations of fragility linked to the built environment, social factors, the rural/agricultural landscape and economic aspects. Starting from the analysis of the territory, it was possible to hypothesise a metaproject intervention that could fit in and relate to the problems encountered, also through dialogue with the educational bodies operating in the territory. Among the above themes, the thesis reflects and investigates the correlation between the places of learning and the socio-educational dynamics of the territory, considering the workshop held in Bellinzago Lombardo as the area of analysis, proposing a solution to the phenomenon of school drop-out through an architectural proposal that increases the potential of the territory. Lastly, the architectural choices underlying the project, derive from a study and an interest begun during the work of the bachelor degree thesis, in which the theme of reusing containers was analysed from various compositional and theoretical aspects. The preliminary study included phenomenological traits, different modalities of modular design and analysis of realised case studies.

Il lavoro di tesi si sviluppa a partire dall’esperienza workshop curricolare “Mitigation Risk Design” all’interno della quale è emersa l’opportunità di avviare un percorso multidisciplinare con lo scopo di cogliere le situazioni di fragilità locali legate agli ambienti costruiti, ai fattori sociali, al paesaggio rurale/agricolo e agli aspetti economici. A partire dall’analisi del territorio è stato possibile ipotizzare un intervento metaprogettuale che potesse inserirsi e relazionarsi con le problematiche riscontrate anche tramite il dialogo con gli enti educativi che agiscono sul territorio. Tra i temi sopra riportati, la tesi riflette e indaga la correlazione tra i luoghi dell’apprendimento e le dinamiche socio-educative del territorio, considerando come zona di analisi quella del workshop svolto a Bellinzago Lombardo, proponendo una soluzione al fenomeno della dispersione scolastica tramite una proposta architettonica che incrementi le potenzialità del territorio. Infine le scelte architettoniche alla base del progetto, derivano da uno studio e un interesse iniziato dal lavoro di tesi di laurea triennale, all’interno del quale era stato analizzato il tema del riuso dei container sotto diversi aspetti sia compositivi che teorici. Lo studio preliminare comprendeva tratti fenomenologici, modalità differenti di progettazione modulare e analisi di casi studio realizzati.
