The goal of this thesis is to price derivative products through the quantization of the Jacobi stochastic volatility model, a model that has the Black and Scholes and the Heston models as limit cases. Quantization is a technique that allows the discretization of random variables and continuous stochastic processes. After a theoretical presentation of quantization and recursive marginal quantization, we perform an analysis of the Jacobi stochastic volatility model. Next we focuses on how to calculate the price of plain vanilla options and exotic derivatives. In fact, through recursive marginal quantization it is possible to approximate the underlying process with a discrete time Markov chain. Then we show how to calculate the price of Bermuda and Barrier options through a dynamic programming formula and the price of Asian and Lookback options using a backward Monte Carlo method.

Abstract
Then we show how to calculate the price of Bermuda and Barrier options through a dynamic programming formula and the price of Asian and Lookback options using a backward Monte Carlo method.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
