Effects of the Covid 19 pandemic on living : analysis of fluid furniture systems with high emotional value that can adapt to minimal housing solutions for a new quality of life

Covid 19 proved to be instrumental in redefining our habits, our daily lives, and the way we experience the spaces of the home. In fact, the home has been the focus of life for several months during the first lockdown. We witnessed a change in the home environment, which needs to be increasingly flexible to adapt quickly to external changes. The domestic space no longer specializes in a single function but opens up to numerous activities. Starting from an in-depth analysis of the changes brought about by Covid-19 on the home, the study will focus on the hybridization of the living room space with the kitchen space to create a more flexible and multifunctional furniture system capable of dividing a macro environment into many micro-areas of activity that can communicate with each other.

Il Covid 19 si è rivelato determinante per ridefinire le nostre abitudini, la nostra vita quotidiana e il modo in cui viviamo gli spazi della casa. Infatti, la casa è stata al centro della vita per diversi mesi durante il primo lockdown. Abbiamo assistito a un cambiamento dell'ambiente domestico, che deve essere sempre più flessibile per adattarsi rapidamente ai cambiamenti esterni. Lo spazio domestico non è più specializzato in un'unica funzione, ma si apre a numerose attività. Partendo da un'analisi approfondita dei cambiamenti apportati da Covid-19 alla casa, lo studio si concentrerà sull'ibridazione dello spazio del soggiorno con quello della cucina per creare un sistema di arredo più flessibile e multifunzionale, in grado di suddividere un macroambiente in tante microaree di attività che possono comunicare tra loro.
