Il ruolo del design engineer nel contesto aziendale: un caso studio nel settore illuminazione

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the role of the design engineer within a design company, analysing it through case studies. The idea was born during my internship, carried out at Viabizzuno, thanks to which I understood how different the design engineer work is compared to my assumptions. Given the difference between reality and expectations, I found it necessary to deepen this role and its responsibilities within the company, and consequently show the business workflow and where the design engineer fits into it.

Lo scopo di questa tesi è indagare il ruolo del design engineer all’interno di un’azienda di progettazione, analizzandolo attraverso casi studio. L’idea nasce durante il mio tirocinio, svolto presso Viabizzuno, grazie al quale ho capito quanto sia diverso il lavoro del design engineer rispetto alle mie previsioni. Data la differenza tra realtà e aspettative, ho ritenuto necessario approfondire questo ruolo e le sue responsabilità all’interno dell’azienda, e di conseguenza mostrare il flusso di lavoro aziendale e dove il design engineer si colloca in esso.
