Reaching professional levels in the sport of swimming requires high dedication from a young age. Swimmers begin practicing the sport competitively from the age of 8-9, which implies numerous and intense weekly training sessions that often are added or overlap with school commitments. As highlighted in the following thesis, competitive sport and study are two areas that frequently come into conflict; this contrast leads to cases of early dropout, a phenomenon that frequently occurs in competitive swimming. This study suggests using Service System Design practices to develop a possible solution to the phenomenon and combat the high rate of sports dropout. After conducting a detailed analysis of the problem, a new service system is proposed with the goal of mitigating the impact of concurrent school and sports commitments, by developing a distribution-type model in which educational institutions and sports entities achieve a high level of collaboration. The project hypothesis is to establish a swimming academy in which a school career and a competitive swimming career can be integrated synergistically.

Abstract
The project hypothesis is to establish a swimming academy in which a school career and a competitive swimming career can be integrated synergistically.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
