This thesis studies historic preservation in two World Historic Centers: Rome and Quito. Between the two cities there are certain parallels visible to anyone: they are capitals, they are political poles in their respective country and both have a Historic Center recognized by UNESCO as a cultural heritage of humanity. However, they also have some differences that are reflected in the care of their historical heritage. These different features will be studied particularly in depth to understand what behaviors should be taken with a Historic Center within cities like these. Once the Historic Center of both cities has been evaluated, tourism will be analyzed on it. It is hoped to understand what is the impact of visitors on historical preservation in cities such as those mentioned above. For this, exhaustive literary research is done and a SWOT analysis is carried out to determine what benefits historical buildings can obtain from tourism and vice versa.

Abstract
For this, exhaustive literary research is done and a SWOT analysis is carried out to determine what benefits historical buildings can obtain from tourism and vice versa.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
