The “CO-SKYSCRAPER” thesis aims to analyze the theme of a constantly reorganizing and organically changing urban context according to the technological evolutions and social changes affecting the city. The typological element of the office skyscraper seen as an urban element generally isolated from the context in which it is located will be questioned in order to propose a metrology of re-functionalization and connection to the surrounding neighborhood, allowing the city and its inhabitants to re-appropriate it. The BIM approach and parametric design will allow us to insert ourselves into the life cycle of the building and apply this methodology to the Libeskind tower in CityLife, provocatively chosen as it is representative of contemporary Milanese urban evolution but built following an obsolete functional logic that makes it detached from the context. A podium will be developed as a connection to the neighborhood, allowing the city to rise through a green promenade hosting public functions. A project therefore that inspires progress, modernity and that can be a replicable and reproducible example in other contexts and on less representative buildings.

Abstract
A project therefore that inspires progress, modernity and that can be a replicable and reproducible example in other contexts and on less representative buildings.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
