Recent environmental regulations are compelling the building industry to update and develop new technologies. This rapid change necessitates increasingly efficient testing strategies. Most manufacturers test their new hardware in the field and with prototypes before putting it on the market. Thus, the hardware-in-the-loop technology for testing systems is one of the most suitable and well-developed responses to the demand for novel testing approaches. This method can streamline the conventional procedure without testing hardware in a physical structure. This project aims to design and build the software for the test bench. It will focus on turning current models into causal containers that meet the FMI standard and developing and testing a custom environment for communicating with standard models. This thesis will also focus on expanding a Modelica library for building and HVAC systems provided by the Ariston company, testing and putting into place models for simulating solar thermal collectors and pipelines that take the features of the walls into account. In a Dymola environment, a replica of the developed hardware in the loop structure will be created. The simulated test bench will also be reviewed, emphasizing the discrepancies between the original and the FMU-HiL copy of the selected models. The viability of the chosen method for recreating the simulated boundary conditions is evaluated and confirmed for the tested hardware.

Abstract
The viability of the chosen method for recreating the simulated boundary conditions is evaluated and confirmed for the tested hardware.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
