The landscape heritage research of the Appian way in Rome based on 3D GIS

In order to identify heritage from the past, live with the heritage of the present, and pass it on to the next generation, this project proposes a framework that incorporates GIS technology to record and analyze landscape heritage at continuous spatial scales and in different contexts, not only from properties or sites scales, but also from their contextual and regional scales. From these continuous scales, authenticity and integrity can interpret heritage from a wider spatial and temporal context, where 3D GIS will contribute through databases, spatial analysis and visualization.
