This thesis takes TOD as the starting point, aiming to explore a more sustainable way to deliver urban planning and architectural design project. The research is based on Kerava Station Area Renewal, an International Architectural Competition (Finland). By a series of topic researching, case studying, site analyzing, planning and designing, a TOD project and residential building design project are delivered. The design approach adopted in this thesis could be used as a model of sustainable architectural and urban planning in similar territorial contexts.
