The following thesis work, inspired by the knowledge of remote places during the internship activity, has as its main theme the link between healthy environment and fruition of the identity of the territory at the basis of the revalorization process of an Inner Area. Introducing this phenomenon of Inner Areas, which is very widespread particularly in the Italian territory, the work then interposes in the context of Tidone Valley, on the border between Emilia Romagna and Lombardia, a place rich in different geomorphologic features and environmental and cultural components, a crossroads since ancient times of ancient roadways due to its favorable and strategic position between the sea, the hinterland and the Po Valley. Starting from a careful geomorphological analysis at a large scale and then comparing it with today's land use, landscape units have been outlined with the aim of characterizing and differentiating the various environments that compose the entire valley, each with its own different needs, but in close correlation with each other. With this in mind, thanks to a scientific method based on the analysis of the Ecosystem Services provided by the different environmental macro-phases, the relative critical issues and potentialities were outlined, the basis for an improvement of natural and anthropogenic habitats. In application of this, we interposes in the specifics of two landscape units and in particular in a precise area of them, considering the main environmental Ecosystem Services that characterize it. In parallel with these aspects, cultural and rural values are also delineated and integrated, with the intention of strengthening their peculiarities and encouraging the recovery and reuse of part of the rural heritage. The overall goal of the work is thus to restore greater interest and create new opportunities for the enjoyment of these places, which tend to become increasingly marginalized, by highlighting and systemizing the existing environmental, landscape and cultural features through simple but effective design interventions, in which the enhancement of the small piece actually benefits the larger-scale system as well.

Abstract
The overall goal of the work is thus to restore greater interest and create new opportunities for the enjoyment of these places, which tend to become increasingly marginalized, by highlighting and systemizing the existing environmental, landscape and cultural features through simple but effective design interventions, in which the enhancement of the small piece actually benefits the larger-scale system as well.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
