Oltre Quasi Nulla. L'Infrasottile: ciò che è anche se non sembra.

From the Duchamp’s notion of Infrasottile – what is also even if it doesn’t look like - an anthology of works is created, placed in a sequence shot, where each one dialogues with the preceding and the following one either, in a continuous chain from the first image to the last one. No diptychs, no triptychs, neither groups of works are produced, but an uninterrupted series of evocative images that it can’t be broken at any point. The research translates the Infrasottile into the categories of Beyond, Almost, Nothing, three adverbs to which the thesis is entitled. The Beyond represents all those phenomena that appeal to an imaginative-speculative effort by overcoming the appearance and limits of vision. The (Almost), a parenthesis between the Beyond and the Nothing, encloses all presences at the limit of matter, impalpable and incorporeal dematerializations. The Nothing, finally, lists the absences behind what we see that seem to be present, where anything is only apparent and grazes the invisible without ever touching it.

Ispirandosi alla nozione duchampiana di Infrasottile - ciò che è anche se non sembra - nasce un’antologia di opere poste in piano sequenza, dove ognuna dialoga sia con la precedente che con la successiva, in una concatenazione continua dalla prima all’ultima. Non si formano né dittici, né trittici, né gruppi di opere ma una sequenza ininterrotta di immagini evocative che non può essere spezzata in nessun punto. La ricerca traduce l’Infrasottile nelle categorie di Oltre, Quasi, Nulla, tre avverbi a cui la tesi s’intitola. L’Oltre rappresenta tutti quei fenomeni che fanno appello a uno sforzo immaginativo-speculativo superando l’apparenza e i limiti della visione. Il (Quasi), parentesi tra l’Oltre e il Nulla, racchiude tutte le presenze al limite della materia, smaterializzazioni impalpabili e incorporee. Il Nulla, infine, ospita le assenze dietro a ciò che vediamo che paiono proprio lì presenti, dove il niente è solo apparente e sfiora l’invisibile senza mai toccarlo.
