To understand and reconstruct the idea of an ancient city, analyzing and restoring the relationship between three things is needed: the elements of a city, such as buildings or a piazza, the language created by the way those elements come together, and the cultural interactions defined by the mindset of a culture. In this paper, phenomenal space is constructed by using typological and morphological reconstruction space design methodology to reconstruct the idea of Limyra, an ancient Lycian city in Turkey, due to a newly built environment need. To create a new city that contains the contemporary subjective image that defines the idea of the ancient city, ascending analysis has been applied to arrive at a conclusion based on different typologies, their relations, and the structure they create. This study explains the experience and perception of a historical place, forming an idea that can be designed using scientific and academic data from historical and architectural evidence. This approach can fulfill contemporary needs, which are reminding and creating experiences and memories while providing built space needed to exhibit artifacts and research activities. A bridge to memory through the atmosphere has been created as an ideological design concept of Phänomenaler Raum, in spatial concept as a syntactic principle of the relationship between spaces: Raum Entwurfslehre.

Abstract
A bridge to memory through the atmosphere has been created as an ideological design concept of Phänomenaler Raum, in spatial concept as a syntactic principle of the relationship between spaces: Raum Entwurfslehre.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
