The industrial development that has allowed our society and economy to flourish for years now risks driving us towards a point of no return for society, environment and economy because of the climate-changing effects it has generated. To tackle such a complex systemic problem, it is first important to understand it thoroughly. To do so, it is necessary to collect and analyze relevant and consistent data that can help understand how and where it is appropriate to act. In the following study, this type of 'data-driven' approach was followed to understand how to tackle climate change in the transport sector. This approach led from investigating driving habits to analyzing the environmental impacts related to electric vehicles. In the end, after analyzing and validating the data found, it was possible to arrive at the delineation of EV chargers as elements capable of stimulating the transition to a more sustainable road transport sector.

Abstract
The industrial development that has allowed our society and economy to flourish for years now risks driving us towards a point of no return for society, environment and economy because of the climate-changing effects it has generated. To tackle such a complex systemic problem, it is first important to understand it thoroughly. To do so, it is necessary to collect and analyze relevant and consistent data that can help understand how and where it is appropriate to act. In the following study, this type of 'data-driven' approach was followed to understand how to tackle climate change in the transport sector. This approach led from investigating driving habits to analyzing the environmental impacts related to electric vehicles. In the end, after analyzing and validating the data found, it was possible to arrive at the delineation of EV chargers as elements capable of stimulating the transition to a more sustainable road transport sector.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
