The purpose of this thesis work is to be able to identify the diameter estimate of the reinforcements in the concrete in non-destructive mode, using the information obtained from previous analyzes and treatments in which the Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) has been employed. Within the protocol, a predefined method will be used for estimating the diameter of the iron rods, which is based on defining a correlation between the data obtained from the analyzes with a specially created empirical calibration curve. For the validation of the results, it was decided to use the images taken from the scans of some structures inside the Politecnico of Milan.

Abstract
The purpose of this thesis work is to be able to identify the diameter estimate of the reinforcements in the concrete in non-destructive mode, using the information obtained from previous analyzes and treatments in which the Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) has been employed. Within the protocol, a predefined method will be used for estimating the diameter of the iron rods, which is based on defining a correlation between the data obtained from the analyzes with a specially created empirical calibration curve. For the validation of the results, it was decided to use the images taken from the scans of some structures inside the Politecnico of Milan.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
