Legarsi Al Mare is established within the coastal context of the coast and the city of Cagliari, more precisely in the port area that corresponds to the Marina di Bonaria, along the Su Siccu pier. The design intervention aims to define a new viewpoint of the city, completely unprecedented, weaving new relationships, urban and landscape in nature, but also social and cultural within the city of Cagliari. The design intentions find inspiration in the works of one of the island’s most famous artists, Maria Lai, who through threads has always tried to tell the identity and culture of Sardinian history. [1] Thus, the paths identified within the pier compose very precise interweavings, whose directions are dictated by the nerve points of the city; the latter, inevitably, considered places, not spaces by the people of Cagliari, have therefore given rise to a new broad project that aims to understand what are the main plots that can tell the urban fabric, morphological and social, of the city of Cagliari; all, however, cleverly idealized and shifted above the surface of the sea, which not only plays a major role in the history of the city’s development, but also best explicates the nature of its inhabitants. The walkway, then, composes new paths that then flow into the epicenter of our area of interest, namely the redevelopment of the Hub of Luna Rossa, within the Ichnusa Pier. [2] The pavilion, in fact, becomes the absolute protagonist of the pier, thus becoming an iconic and recognizable point of the city, especially for those arriving from the sea. An entire area that represents the beating heart of the Sardinian capital is thus designed and redeveloped. The inescapable relationship with the sea is then emphasized, creating a completely new path of total approach to the element of water, and, therefore, of the sea. An indispensable aspect to fully grasp the beauty and nature of the city of Cagliari and its inhabitants, finally, the sailing tradition, which has always been enclosed in the hearts of the Cagliari people, also takes its highest peak, with the redevelopment of the former Harbour Master’s Office with the definitive insertion of a Luna Rossa Hub, which represents nationally and internationally an Italian excellence in the world of sailing.

Abstract
An indispensable aspect to fully grasp the beauty and nature of the city of Cagliari and its inhabitants, finally, the sailing tradition, which has always been enclosed in the hearts of the Cagliari people, also takes its highest peak, with the redevelopment of the former Harbour Master’s Office with the definitive insertion of a Luna Rossa Hub, which represents nationally and internationally an Italian excellence in the world of sailing.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
