In this thesis work, some of the innovative technologies specific to Industry 4.0 are analyzed and their use is dropped into the aeronautical manufacturing world. The context is the Nacelle assembly processes in Leonardo's Venegono factory - Aircraft division. Through a formative stage program, a new assembly line design based on the concepts of Innovation, Flexibility and Automation is studied. In the first part of the thesis, the current assembly process is described and then the designs of the new solutions and their innovative features are analyzed. The Core of the Thesis consists of the experimental phase based on a test campaign aimed at verifying the feasibility of some of the proposed technologies and their use in the smart industry. Among the activities carried out, the use of cobots for positioning and holding parts and automated drilling systems are tested. The concepts developed are propaedeutical for the creation of the new Assembly Line and the associated technology Demonstrator.
