Le nouveau recit l'urbain - The new urban narrative

Urban Thinking is a method of breaking through limited conventions to reach a realm of fascinations where anything beyond our everyday experience becomes possible. This leads us to question ‘How do we develop Urban Thinking, which is capable of imagining a radical future that differs from our basic knowledge of the existing order of things?’ Nowadays, we need a constructive imagination to help us create the fictive worlds of our dreams, dreams that are worth struggling for. Utopias distort the present; they pave the way for a critical mindset and critical action; hence, the presence of a utopia - the ability to imagine alternative solutions to today’s vexing problems, may be viewed as a necessary condition for a social change. However, although ‘Utopian Dreams’ never entirely fade away being the omnipresent in the hidden signifiers of our desires, lest we forget about the ‘Urban History’ which impacts us with a deepness of thoughts that shape nowadays urban design. Both whether large and small, these thoughts have an effect of high importance on the development of cities and on thoughts about urban form and urban society more broadly. Between the Imagined Urban and Utopia when it comes to regenerating an urban area or planning / developing an Urban City from the start, as ‘Urbanists’ how do we construct their narrative and based on what? What reasons lie behind the proposed constructed narrative and do we follow the principles defining it? In most cases, a narrative can be read without reaching deeper to understand its context; in a way its projection would reflect its entities as a functioning system of the human body where each organ would function for the sake of the other. In such scenario the body’s organs are the functioning parts of the city reviving it, making it work, making it accessible, and where people not only do people exist in such city but also they get to ‘Live’ in. Hence, which form could the implementation of this new urban narrative take? Can it take the form of a Utopia, an Urban Regeneration, or a City Design?

Urban Thinking è un metodo per rompere le convenzioni limitate per raggiungere un regno di fascinazioni in cui diventa possibile qualsiasi cosa al di là della nostra esperienza quotidiana. Questo ci porta a chiederci "Come sviluppiamo il pensiero urbano, che è capace di immaginare". Un futuro radicale che differisce dalla nostra conoscenza di base dell'ordine esistente delle cose?' Al giorno d'oggi, abbiamo bisogno di un'immaginazione costruttiva che ci aiuti a creare i mondi fittizi di i nostri sogni, sogni per cui vale la pena lottare. Le utopie distorcono il presente; pavimentano la via per una mentalità critica e un'azione critica; quindi, la presenza di un'utopia – il capacità di immaginare soluzioni alternative ai fastidiosi problemi di oggi, può essere vista come condizione necessaria per un cambiamento sociale. Tuttavia, sebbene 'Utopian Dreams' mai svanire completamente essendo l'onnipresente nei significanti nascosti dei nostri desideri, per timore dimentichiamo la "storia urbana" che ci colpisce con una profondità di pensieri che dare forma all'odierno design urbano. Sia grandi che piccoli, questi pensieri hanno un effetto di grande importanza sullo sviluppo delle città e sul pensiero urbano forma e società urbana più in generale. Quali ragioni si celano dietro la proposta costruita narrativa e seguiamo i principi che la definiscono? Nella maggior parte dei casi, una narrazione può essere letto senza approfondire per comprenderne il contesto; in un certo senso la sua proiezione rifletterebbe le sue entità come un sistema funzionante del corpo umano in cui ogni organo funzionerebbe per il bene dell'altro. In tale scenario gli organi del corpo sono I parti funzionanti della città facendola rivivere, facendola funzionare, rendendola accessibile, e dove le persone non solo esistono in una città del genere, ma possono anche "vivere". Forma potrebbe assumere l'attuazione di questa nuova narrativa urbana? Può assumere la forma di un'utopia, una rigenerazione urbana o un progetto di città?
