Monte Baldo appears as an isolated massif reflected in the waters of Lake Garda. Due to its singularity as an extensive and isolated massif, it is considered "museum territory", as its natural history is intertwined with the exciting events of survival and adaptation of the local flora and fauna, together with those of the men who have attempted, over the centuries, to make this particular environment their own, in a "possession" that manifests itself at both a tangible and intangible level. The Baldense massif is a 'dual' entity, in that the two slopes that constitute it differ not only at the regional administrative level, but also in terms of landscape, climate and settlement. This conflict of different realities led us to choose the eastern slope as the project area, which has preserved its mountain identity with small and scattered settlements alternating with the floristic richness that distinguishes Monte Baldo Recognising dualism as the identity and value of Mount Baldo, we set ourselves the objective of not abolishing it but, on the contrary, of enhancing it through an experience that allows you to get to know, experience and approach the mountain without being a passive tourist but as a protagonist of the mountain itself, experiencing it in all its facets. Our project proposal, aimed at the silent rediscovery of the naturalistic and landscape peculiarities of the eastern side of Monte Baldo, fits into this vision. Proceeding along the new narrative pathway enriched by punctual interventions, specific to each landscape condition, we arrive at a full awareness of the identity of this slope, unknown to date. From unknow to Know.
Da unknow a Know.
