BLOSSOMING PAVILION A New Public Space At The Entrance Of Società Umanitaria

This project takes the approach to the restoration of the historical building Società Umanitaria, specifically part of the cloister building by maximizing reuse of spaces which has been left without any use for years and also the addition of new pavilion that gives contrast with existing building without affecting the identity at same time keeping its aesthetical balance with the wider context of the area. In addition the project has fo-cused on selection of lightweight and technological materials with integrated sustainability approaches for the overall process of restoration and preservations in order to maximize the energy efficiency of the building.

Questo progetto si avvicina al restauro dell’edificio storico Società Umanitaria, in particolare parte dell’edificio del chiostro, massimizzando il riutilizzo degli spazi lasciati inutilizzati per anni e anche l’aggiunta di un nuovo padiglione che contrasta con l’edificio esistente senza intaccare l’identità mantenendo allo stesso tempo il suo equilibrio estetico con il contesto più ampio dell’area. Inoltre, il progetto si è concentrato sulla selezione di materiali leggeri e tecnologici con approcci di sostenibilità integrati per il processo complessivo di restauro e conservazione al fine di massimizzare l’efficienza energetica dell’edificio.
