Choosing the city of La Grande-Motte for my final project was not an obvious choice. Having grown up on the shores of the Étang de l'Or, it was only later, in architecture school, that I became aware of the extent of the architectural work embodied by this city, whose singularity had, over time, escaped my attention. Despite its young age, La Grande-Motte, created ex-nihilo, is the result of a fascinating history carried by the vision of Jean Balladur to design the city of tomorrow. 60 years after its creation, the city of the sands develops according to the seasons. More than sixty years after its creation, the city of the sands has developed according to the seasons. It has made a place for itself in the territorial system that it occupies, and today tends to assert itself no longer as a seaside resort but as a city in its own right. This transition raises several issues and comes up against many limits that we will try to answer throughout this project - How does a finished work evolve? How to preserve without freezing? What architectural act in such a singular context? How to build on an increasingly fragile site? - This final project report presents how a systematic historical, territorial and urban analysis of the project's intentions led to a response to these issues.
Come conservare senza congelare?

Abstract
- This final project report presents how a systematic historical, territorial and urban analysis of the project's intentions led to a response to these issues.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
