Abstract
In an era in which mass tourism is invading cities, the ecomuseum contrasts with this trend by promoting the development of conscious tourism characterized by slower and more sustainable rhythms. The ecomuseum can therefore be considered at the basis of a "slowdown" process that combines the rediscovery of the territory, of traditions, of history and produces awareness in the first instance in the local populations. In designing an ecomuseum, the choices are not guided by economic logics that can bring substantial income, but rather by the logic of protection. The ecomuseum is not clamoring to be included in the most popular tourist circuits; it does not want and must not welcome large masses of people. the redevelopment project of the two eco-museum stations of Stallazzo and Mulinetto starts from this premise and acts as a link with the territory and its history. In the context of Leonardo's Adda Ecomuseum, water is the common thread that unites the places and guides tourists along the cycle-pedestrian path. In reality, the river is not only a tacit travel companion, but a living organism, a witness of the interest that over the centuries has been shown in this territory and in the "exploitation" of its waters, counting among its of the caliber of Leonardo da Vinci. The architectural project fits into this context, trying not to transfigure what it encounters but rather creating a dialogue with the existing. The path that leads to the two eco-museum stations taken into consideration is immersive and full of unprecedented landscape views, as well as historical evidence. the two buildings on which work has been carried out therefore aspire to become devices for interacting with users, embodying the essence of what surrounds them.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
