Nodo : più rete meno scarti. Sistema prodotto-servizio basato sull'economia e sulla formazione circolare

The circular economy is a complex business model that involves and has repercussions in different sectors, locally and globally. It is necessary to disrupt the mechanism that considers as a "natural model" that of the linear economy, which is concerned only with production without regard for the resources - material and human - used and the end of life of products. To date, the side effects of the "disposable" model have become unsustainable. Researching and experimenting with new businesses is essential to complement the economic aspect with the environmental and social aspects, which are currently neglected. Focusing on a local context, an emphasis on the solidarity economy is intrinsic in Italian culture. It is often thought to be a recent phenomenon, but in reality it has its roots in history, especially that of the late nineteenth century when there were numerous groups of volunteers who initiated works for the collective good; just think of mutual aid societies, agricultural cooperatives, forms of supportive economy or cooperative movements. This concern for others and the future was not limited to the past, but is still progressing today. One example out of all are the laws that provide for the employment inclusion of people from protected categories or how young people choose to join sustainable initiatives such as the sharing economy. Making available to others products that one uses little or not at all also incentivizes the second-hand purchasing phenomena involving Millennials and Gen Z, who are increasingly future-conscious. It therefore proves necessary to take a cue from historical roots and current private initiatives to structure a targeted system. Therefore, it was decided to design a product-service system that combines the principles of the circular economy with training, with a focus on people in protected categories. The goal is to create a model that can serve as a pilot for all those realities, which wish to network in order to actively and concretely contribute to the creation of a long-term future for the planet and the beings living on it.

L’economia circolare è un modello di business complesso che coinvolge e ha ripercussioni in differenti settori, a livello locale e globale. È necessario scardinare il meccanismo che considera come “modello naturale” quello dell’economia lineare, che si occupa esclusivamente di produrre senza curarsi delle risorse - materiali e umane - impiegate e del fine vita dei prodotti. Ad oggi gli effetti collaterali del modello “usa e getta” sono diventati insostenibili. La ricerca e sperimentazione di nuovi business è fondamentale per affiancare all’aspetto economico, quello ambientale e sociale, attualmente trascurati. Focalizzando l’attenzione su un contesto locale, nella cultura italiana è intrinseca l’attenzione all’economia di solidarietà. Spesso si pensa si tratti di un fenomeno recente, ma in realtà affonda le sue radici nella storia, in particolar modo quella di fine Ottocento in cui vi erano numerosi gruppi di volontari che avviavano opere per il bene collettivo; basti pensare alle società di mutuo soccorso, alle cooperative agricole, alle forme di economia di sostegno o ai movimenti cooperativi. Questa attenzione nei confronti del prossimo e del futuro non si è limitata al passato, ma progredisce ancora oggi. Un esempio su tutti sono le leggi che prevedono l’inclusione lavorativa di persone appartenenti a categorie protette o come i giovani scelgono di aderire a iniziative sostenibili come la sharing economy. Mettere a disposizione di altri prodotti che si utilizzano poco o nulla, incentiva anche i fenomeni di acquisto second hand che coinvolgono Millennials e Gen Z, sempre più attenti al futuro. Risulta quindi necessario prendere spunto dalle radici storiche e dalle iniziative private in atto, per strutturare un sistema mirato. Si è quindi scelto di progettare un sistema prodotto-servizio che unisca i principi dell’economia circolare alla formazione, con particolare attenzione alle persone in categorie protette. L’obiettivo è quello di creare un modello che possa fungere da pilota per tutte quelle realtà, che desiderano creare rete per contribuire attivamente e concretamente alla creazione di un futuro a lungo termine per il pianeta e gli esseri che ci vivono.
