This master thesis study provides a preliminary approach starting from the geographical, climatic, hydrological and agricultural framework of the Aurès region, in particular it refers to the Oued Labiod watershed. It is proposed an analysis on land cover and land use dynamics through a novel method of data integration starting from the study of satellite images. These, together with climate datasets, are integrated to hydrologically model the area considered. The results lead to a quantitative analysis of the model used and provide the basis for further hydrological studies of the area and for the sustainable management of the water resource.
Questo lavoro di tesi magistrale fornisce un approccio introduttivo partendo dall'inquadramento geografico, climatico, idrologico e agricolo della regione dell'Aurès, in particolare si fa riferirimento al bacino dell'Oued Labiod. Viene proposta un'analisi delle dinamiche di copertura ed uso del suolo attraverso un nuovo metodo di integrazione dei dati partendo dallo studio di immagini satellitari. Queste, insieme a dati climatici, vengono integrate per modellare idrologicamente l'area considerata. I risultati portano ad un'analisi quantitativa del modello utilizzato e forniscono la base per ulteriori studi idrologici dell'area e per la gestione sostenibile della risorsa idrica.
