For some years now, small-scale architecture has been a promising field for experimentation of design strategies and solutions informed by a technological and environmental culture that feeds on the powerful and pervasive digital innovations that inform construction processes and methods, but which, above all, reflects on new ways of thinking about design on a circular horizon. This Thesis seeks to demonstrate the new ecological dimension of architectural design as a location of diverse and interacting connections in which we can critically resolve the dichotomy between nature and culture starting with the links between digital technology and environmental culture. Small-scale architecture, seen from this perspective, When industrial and production processes are rethought using the circularity paradigm, they can be organized in a way that is comparable to how natural ecosystems use energy and materials, offering a promising means of improving their efficiency and sustainability. Small-scale architecture creates a new design culture in which the process is more important than the finished product. The product, in other words, is less important than the technical procedures that precede and follow it, defining a concrete realization of the assembly paradigm and exalting the aspects of the project that are less tangible.

Abstract
The product, in other words, is less important than the technical procedures that precede and follow it, defining a concrete realization of the assembly paradigm and exalting the aspects of the project that are less tangible.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
