Abstract
By means of two powerful techniques, electrospray mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), the behavior under irradiation of CyMe4-BTBP was studied. It is a very promising ligand synthesized for the application in the partitioning of spent nuclear fuel, in particular for the separation of actinides from lanthanides. The dependence of the ligand degradation on the absorbed dose and the dose rate has been studied and a strong dependence of the formation of the radiolytic products on the diluent has been verified. Finally, an interpretation of the radiolytic degradation products has been achieved.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
