How would you explore a Social Network? Social Network is the place where new generations share ideas and interests. Following new trends much attention would be in Social Media, companies begun to understand their value and started to invest on it. A new Business Unit is concerned with supporting and exploit these trends. The overgrowing interest of Business Companies moved the attention of researchers, which had already partially covered this arguments, to do new effort and specialize concepts to use cases. Social Networking gives a new breath to virtual identities. The aim of this thesis is to analyze and propose a set of procedures to understand and investigate social networks, of course much attention is paid to final users. At first, the State of Art would be introduced and discussed, after that, the main concepts, such as Centrality and Prestige, are extracted and, leveraging existing tools, they are computed and made accessible to analysts. This thesis is also concerned with Business Intelligence which is another major argument faced to ease Social Network Analysis. This work has been done in collaboration with TamTamy a company of Reply s.p.a. group, and brought to the aggregation and development a set of analytic tools of Social Network Analysis. The project in TamTamy has been revised by Management and it has been approved as a new product to internally develop and sell.
