Language is the essential tool for communicating the fundamental aspects of the human experience itself, such as needs, knowledge, and emotions. As a matter of fact, understanding or exchanging relevant messages and information is vital to all human beings. Language deficiencies and speech disorders have a very significant negative impact on such abilities, especially on children. Therefore they are extensively treated with speech therapies. Tangible User Interfaces (TUIs) have proven to be an effective tool to help children improve their cognitive and language skills. The purpose of this thesis is to contribute to the development of a TUI called Moovy through the design and implementation of new software features. Moovy is a fun board game for training difficult morphosyntactic constructs, which helps to improve language and cognitive rehabilitation in children further. Specifically, the work reported in this thesis concerns the implementation of a new feature that allows the therapist to create or modify a new activity dynamically.

Abstract
Specifically, the work reported in this thesis concerns the implementation of a new feature that allows the therapist to create or modify a new activity dynamically.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
