Asinara represents a place within which anthropic transformations, for historical-territorial reasons, have been summarily circumscribed. This state of almost "virginity" makes it unique in the Italian panorama, constantly poised between the issue of the preservation of its artifacts and the relationship with the singularity of the surrounding environment. The main idea of this research work is to promote new ways of living on the territory that are compatible with its reality through the creation of a link between the territory and a society that manages to live on it almost daily by taking care of it. There is no desire for a new permanent colonization, but the attempt is to introduce pre-established cycles of life, which do not provide for the indefinite settledness of the inhabitants, but which introduce unprecedented relationships between reduced pieces of society and a territory that is in fact devoid of a real community. Seemingly different themes, such as historical memory, the promotion of new ways of living, and environmental preservation, can come into contact and be promoted through the conversion and use of old buildings. The architectural and design choices do not deny history but, on the contrary, stand in continuity with its current nature. The project proposes the introduction of a research center intended for doctoral students in Agricultural Sciences and Biology at the University of Sassari, in the former prison branch of Trabuccato, reconnecting both to the agricultural vocation of this portion of the territory and to the action of protection and study promoted by the National Park. Trabuccato village, then, becomes the place of residence of the doctoral students, who take possession of the spaces that were once the custodial agents, while the area in which the ancient agricultural artifacts are located, overlooking the old vineyard, becomes an evocative and communicative place towards visitors through the use of installations that reread the temporality of the elements and actions that occurred in the area.

Abstract
Trabuccato village, then, becomes the place of residence of the doctoral students, who take possession of the spaces that were once the custodial agents, while the area in which the ancient agricultural artifacts are located, overlooking the old vineyard, becomes an evocative and communicative place towards visitors through the use of installations that reread the temporality of the elements and actions that occurred in the area.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
