Lots are the factors influencing the shear strength of the concrete elements reinforced with GFPR, and more in general with FRP. Scientific literature proposes various mathematical models defining the shear capacity of these structural elements considering some factors decreasing their performance comparing these with the ones reinforced with steel bars. With this paper there’s the intention of analyzing the theorical and applicational limits of the mathematical models proposed for the calculation and the verification of the concrete structural elements reinforced with FRP, and more in particular with GFRP, making a short digression on the application field of FRP, the behaviour of concrete beams reinforced with steel bars or not reinforced and the mechanic characteristics of concrete beams reinforced with GFRP, and more in general with FRP. A particular attention was paid to Eurocode 2, of interest in this paper because it is configured like the European code for design, proposing a version fixing with the field of the paper, still in the awareness of the presence of incongruities between the experimental results and the mathematic formulation proposed.
Molti sono i fattori che condizionano la resistenza a taglio degli elementi strutturali in calcestruzzo armati con vetroresina (GFRP), e più in generale in FRP. La bibliografia scientifica propone diversi modelli matematici che definiscono la capacità resistente a taglio di tali elementi strutturali tenendo in considerazione alcuni dei fattori peggiorativi della loro performance rispetto ai loro simili armati con barre in acciaio. Con questa tesi si intende analizzare i limiti teorici e applicativi dei modelli matematici proposti per il calcolo e la verifica degli elementi strutturali in calcestruzzo armati con FRP, e più in particolare in GFRP (vetroresina), eseguendo una breve digressione sui campi di applicazione degli FRP, sul comportamento delle travi in calcestruzzo armate o non armate con acciaio e sulle caratteristiche meccaniche delle travi in calcestruzzo armate con vetroresina, e più in generale con FRP. Un’attenzione particolare è stata prestata all’Eurocodice 2, di interesse per questa tesi in quanto si configura come la norma progettuale in Europa, proponendone una versione adatta al tema in esame, pur nella consapevolezza della presenza di incongruenze tra l’osservazione sperimentale e la formulazione matematica proposta.
