The paradigm of open innovation relies on the collaboration with external actors and can be described as the exchange of knowledge that drives the execution of innovation activities. In the last decade, it has evolved from a select group of practitioners in high-tech sectors to a widely embraced innovation practice in Italy and worldwide. With the growing prevalence of open innovation, an increasing number of companies have become active participants in this ecosystem. This phenomenon highlights the complex necessity to organize and structure the diverse array of stakeholders involved to gain a deeper understanding of the key players in Italy's open innovation landscape. Consequently, there is the need to identify the range of services offered by these stakeholders and examine the Open Innovation Initiatives executed on the market. This thesis work aims at creating a decision-making model to assist seekers in selecting the most appropriate Open Innovation initiatives by providing a structured approach that takes into account their specific needs and constraints. In order to put into action the model, a number of interviews with companies were conducted to validate its structure and to test the alignment of practice with theoretical basis. The proposed model represents an attempt to drive the seeker to make more informed choices and was tested with a multi-industry approach focused on the Italian market.

Abstract
The proposed model represents an attempt to drive the seeker to make more informed choices and was tested with a multi-industry approach focused on the Italian market.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
