Several efforts have been spent toward the definition and creation of appropriate techniques for the modelling of systems and their representation based on a multiformalism approach. With Petri Nets and Queueing Networks as foundation, this document focuses on the presentation of two new constructs for modelling based on the interconnection of components of the two formalisms: PN's places and QN's service centers and delay stations. The theoretical definition of the behaviour of Place-Queue and Place-Delay connections as means for the dynamic control of the number of internal servers and state of service and delay nodes allows for the development of further modelling strategies concerning complex systems and the simplification of representation of load-management, resource enabling and sub-system management politics, that characterize virtualization and productive environment. The practical implementation of the two constructs, developed in the scope of furthering and extending the functionalities of the Java Modelling Tools software suite, allows for the direct realization of models based on the two, their testing and the collection and study of characterizing data through simulation approaches.

Abstract
The practical implementation of the two constructs, developed in the scope of furthering and extending the functionalities of the Java Modelling Tools software suite, allows for the direct realization of models based on the two, their testing and the collection and study of characterizing data through simulation approaches.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
