Perovskites and perovskite-inspired materials have proven to be useful in many fields, and their adaptability sparked increasing interest in the scientific community in the last ten years. In this dissertation the goal is to produce one or more perovskite-inspired hybrid material characterizing their features and comparing them to the landscape found in literature for similar compounds. Seven new materials were synthesized, all of which are based on the presence of cyclohexylammonium (CHA) and zinc as their fixed constituents. Despite having synthesized CHAZnX3, CHA2ZnX4 and CHA3ZnX5 stoichiometries (with X=Cl, Br, I), the research focused on the first and last one. Said materials structure was characterized via X-ray diffraction, and their response to temperature stimuli was addressed through thermogravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry. These materials present different phases depending on the temperature they are subjected to, and it is supposed that also other properties, such as the optical ones, change accordingly.

Abstract
These materials present different phases depending on the temperature they are subjected to, and it is supposed that also other properties, such as the optical ones, change accordingly.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
