Given this premise, the presented research thesis is based on a comprehensive survey of international drone start-ups, supported by an econometric analysis of their relationship with their first investor. Therefore, key market trends will be presented as potential business opportunities for interested readers. In addition, various types of investors will be examined considering their impact on the ability of start-ups to achieve a successful exit, either through initial public offering (IPO) or mergers and acquisitions (M&A). In conclusion, the research sheds light on emerging innovations in the industry, such as advances in drone performances and the development of supporting technologies.
