Abstract
This thesis investigates experimentally marine deposits from the gulf of Finland. It established the properties of the deposits, such as the water content, density, undrained shear strength, organic content, and sensitivity. Furthermore, the research investigated both undisturbed and remoulded samples of the deposits with oedometric and triaxial tests. Those help to further assess the effects of structure on compressibility and shear strength. Both isotropic and anisotropic triaxial tests are done and for anisotropic conditions, the case ηFile | Dimensione | Formato | |
