This study introduces an innovative recommendation system aimed at identifying and efficiently obtaining the most relevant satellite data for specific events. To achieve this goal, the process involves a series of consecutive stages: event detection, through sources such as news aggregators and disaster alert platforms, validation of the identified events, and definition of the boundaries of the affected areas. Event characteristics, the area of interest, user preferences, and satellite technical specifications work together to ensure the selection of the most suitable satellites. The system has been implemented and subjected to a series of tests covering various scenarios, including wildfires, landslides, floods, droughts, and power outages. These evaluations are intended to highlight the system’s remarkable ability to detect, validate events, and promptly define areas of interest.

Abstract
These evaluations are intended to highlight the system’s remarkable ability to detect, validate events, and promptly define areas of interest.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
