In the past two decades, the notion of "Responsible Ownership" in Enterprise Families has emerged, emphasizing the intricate relationship between family values, business principles, and ownership responsibilities. While there's substantial discourse on the traits and identification of a Responsible Owner, there's a noticeable gap in defining the Practices related to Responsible Ownership. Becoming a Responsible Owner is a learned process rather than an inherited trait. Despite some scattered academic insights, a consolidated understanding of Responsible Ownership Practices remains elusive. In this dissertation we present a framework of Responsible Ownership Practices, built on practitioners and theory. Subsequently, based on in-depth interviews with European Enterprise Families, this research delves into the Paradoxes these families face when adopting Responsible Ownership. Recognizing that these Paradoxes have been hinted at but not extensively studied in prior works, our investigation unveils the multifaceted Paradoxes and tensions of Responsible Ownership. Finally, by understanding how Enterprise Families model through Responsible Ownership, we suggest some Enablers that might help facing these Paradoxes and tensions.

Abstract
Finally, by understanding how Enterprise Families model through Responsible Ownership, we suggest some Enablers that might help facing these Paradoxes and tensions.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
