The concept of the Circular Economy is gaining momentum in the business. It proposes a production and consumption model aimed at extending the life cycle of products and minimising their waste. Most of this knowledge has a broad focus, however, a more comprehensive understanding still needs to be developed to bring this concept into practice, since each business sector is different. This occurs particularly in the built environment, a field where progress seems to be slow in coming. Its constituting elements are characterised by multiple stakeholders and processes that interact dynamically. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to examine in what way collaboration happens among stakeholders and how it can contribute to the transition to a Circular Economy in Italy. Furthermore, the thesis attempts to identify drivers of collaboration for a Circular Economy implementation within the built environment. It turned out that facilitating collaboration by bringing all companies together through a clear vision increases awareness of their impacts. Once a solid network is established, circular solutions can be found through the active participation of all actors.

Abstract
Once a solid network is established, circular solutions can be found through the active participation of all actors.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
