This thesis aims to explore the concept of ‘hydrosocial territories’ (Boelens P. et Al. 2016) and its implications for understanding the complex relationship between society and water. Using a multidisciplinary approach, the research investigates how social, cultural and economic factors intersect with hydrological processes to shape the dynamics of water management and governance. The first part of the study provides a theoretical framework that clarifies the concept of hydrosocial territories and describes some of the issues related to rivers and the fragmentation of governance systems. The first part of the thesis examines the interconnectedness of social and hydrological systems, highlighting the ways in which water resources are socially constructed and governed. The second part of the research explores the case study of the Mincio River sub-basin to illustrate the manifestations of hydrosocial territories in a defined territorial context. Some implications highlight the crisis of technical solutions applied to environmental emergencies, which require strategies that take into account local specificities and participatory approaches.

Abstract
Some implications highlight the crisis of technical solutions applied to environmental emergencies, which require strategies that take into account local specificities and participatory approaches.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
