This thesis is based on the services provided by Check Point Milano, a non-profit organization in Milano, Italy. The organization provides a safe place, without discrimination for all the community, giving support for the sexual health. The organization want to create a membership card for its users but it does not know what kind services they can link to it according of what the user wants or needs. Even, when the level of STI has been decreasing during the last years in Italy, its health system does not work properly because the lack of training of its personal to provide services in a non-jugmental, undiscriminate space, reason why organization as Check Point Milano play a fundamental role in the community non only giving information to prevent but also giving free access to services that sometimes are slow or difficult in the national health service. The project was based in emperical and field research to better understand the action field, limitations and needs of the organization and its stakeholders ( coordinators, volunteers and users), as well in some desk research to understand all the phenomenon in which Check Point Milano is inmerse. During the design process different methods were used in order to get the information, categorized and analyze it to enrich the service design output finding the real needs to be satisfied trough the membership programm. During the journey, other key aspects for improving the queality of the service were found, those suggestions and findings make part of the future road map suggested to the organization. This thesis shows the process and methodology implemented to define offerings for improving the access to the prep program, as well as the service to talk with an expert about different topics, this thesis includes a description of its preliminary design and possible back up process to make it real.
Questa tesi si basa sui servizi forniti da Check Point Milano, un'organizzazione no-profit di Milano, Italia. L'organizzazione fornisce un luogo sicuro, senza discriminazioni, per tutta la comunità, dando supporto per la salute sessuale. L'organizzazione vuole creare una tessera associativa per i propri utenti, ma non sa che tipo di servizi collegarvi in base a ciò che l'utente desidera o necessita. Anche se il livello di IST è diminuito negli ultimi anni in Italia, il sistema sanitario non funziona in modo adeguato a causa della mancanza di formazione del personale per fornire servizi in uno spazio non pregiudiziale e non discriminatorio, motivo per cui organizzazioni come Check Point Milano svolgono un ruolo fondamentale nella comunità, non solo fornendo informazioni per prevenire, ma anche dando libero accesso a servizi che a volte sono lenti o difficili nel servizio sanitario nazionale. Il progetto si è basato su una ricerca empirica e sul campo per comprendere meglio il campo d'azione, i limiti e i bisogni dell'organizzazione e dei suoi stakeholder (coordinatori, volontari e utenti), nonché su una ricerca desk per comprendere tutti i fenomeni in cui Check Point Milano è coinvolto. Durante il processo di progettazione sono stati utilizzati diversi metodi per ottenere le informazioni, categorizzarle e analizzarle per arricchire l'output del service design, trovando i reali bisogni da soddisfare attraverso il programma associativo. Durante il percorso sono stati individuati altri aspetti chiave per migliorare la qualità del servizio; tali suggerimenti e risultati fanno parte della road map futura proposta all'organizzazione. Questa tesi mostra il processo e la metodologia implementati per definire le offerte per migliorare l'accesso al programma di preparazione, così come il servizio per parlare con un esperto su diversi argomenti, questa tesi include una descrizione del suo design preliminare e del possibile processo di back up per renderlo reale.
