This thesis presents the development of a denoising algorithm in time domain and an optimal fast converging Low Rank algorithm for mmWave Massive MIMO channel estimation. The proposed algorithms are designed to address the challenges of noise and interference suffered in mmWave Massive MIMO communication systems. The thesis primarily investigates the unconstrained Maximum Likelihood estimate subject to Low-Rank constraint and contributes in a novel fast converging Low Rank algorithm for channel estimation purposes. To evaluate the effectiveness of the algorithms, extensive simulations were conducted using a cluster-based multipath channel model. The metrics measured were mean squared error (MSE) and uplink spectral efficiency(for single user system) and sum-rate(for multi-user systems). The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm significantly improve the performance of mmWave Massive MIMO channel estimation compared to the traditional Low-Rank Algorithm resulting in higher spectral efficiency and lower MSE.

Abstract
The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm significantly improve the performance of mmWave Massive MIMO channel estimation compared to the traditional Low-Rank Algorithm resulting in higher spectral efficiency and lower MSE.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
