L'opera di franco albini nella critica dell'architettura italiana, dagli anni trenta agli anni settanta

The thesis traces the critics' judgment on Franco Albini and his work from the 1930s to the latest architectures of the 1960s and 1970s. Through the selection of a series of texts by various contemporary authors of Albini, a path has been constructed which analyzes the critical judgments, dividing it into three consecutive periods. The first part concerns the first works of the young Franco Albini in Milan in the 1930s, with the link with the Casabella magazine and the group of architects pursuing the avant-garde. The center of this first part of Albini's work are the installations, the fittings, the furnishings, which arouse a strong interest from the critics who investigate them with extensive discussions and reflections, above all linked to the meanings, as well as the purely technical aspects . The second phase is linked to the post-war period and to reconstruction. In particular, the comments related to the work carried out by Albini in the field of Museography are reported and analysed. Criticism focuses heavily on the contribution provided by the architect Albini in this field, with judgments that are increasingly celebratory. The last phase collects the judgments on the great architectural complexes of the 1960s and 1970s, with a comparison between the various critics who have analyzed Albini's work.

La tesi ripercorre il giudizio della critica su Franco Albini e la sua opera a partire dagli anni Trenta per arrivare alle ultime architetture degli anni Sessanta e Settanta. Attraverso la selezione di una serie di testi di diversi autori contemporanei di Albini è stato costruito un percorso che analizza i giudizi critici, suddividendolo in tre epoche consecutive. La prima parte riguarda le prime opere del giovane Franco Albini nella Milano degli anni Trenta, con il legame con la rivista Casabella e il gruppo di architetti che persegue l'avanguardia. Centro di questa prima parte dell'opera di Albini sono le installazioni, gli allestimenti, l'arredamento, che suscitano un forte interesse da parte della critica che li indaga con ampie trattazioni e riflessioni, soprattutto legate ai significati, oltre che agli aspetti squisitamente tecnici. La seconda fase è quella legata al dopoguerra e alla ricostruzione. In particolare vengono riportati e analizzati i commenti legati al lavoro compiuto da Albini nell'ambito della Museografia. La critica si concentra molto sul contributo fornito dall'architetto Albini in questo campo, con giudizi che si fanno sempre più celebrativi. L'ultima fase raccoglie i giudizi sui grandi complessi architettonici degli anni Sessanta e Settanta, con il confronto fra le varie voci della critica che hanno analizzato l'opera di Albini.
